Unauthorized Use of AMA Legal and Immigration Services’ Name and Identity

We have become aware that an unauthorized individual is using the name, branding, and reputation of AMA Legal and Immigration Services to offer immigration services and obtain money from members of the public. This person does not work for, represent, or have any affiliation with AMA Legal and Immigration Services. They are not authorized to sign agreements, provide services, collect fees, or communicate with clients on our behalf. Please protect yourself:  

Deal only with our verified team. Only the individuals identified on our official website are authorized to provide services on behalf of AMA Legal and Immigration Services.  

Beware of impersonation. We have identified a fraudulent email account using the name of our leadership and falsely claiming a family connection to Alfonso Mejia Arias. Neither Alfonso Mejia Arias nor AMA Legal and Immigration Services authorizes relatives or other third parties outside our team to solicit clients or collect fees.  

Check the email domain carefully. Our official communications come from @amalegal.ca.

The fraudulent domain we have identified is @amalegalservices.ca. This domain does not belong to our company and appears intended to mislead recipients into believing they are communicating with us.  

Do not send money to individuals. AMA Legal and Immigration Services will never ask clients to send payment to a personal account, personal e-transfer address, cryptocurrency wallet, or other untraceable payment method.  

Verify credentials before paying or signing anything. Anyone providing Canadian immigration or legal services should have the appropriate authorization and professional credentials.

If you have been contacted by this individual, sent money, or believe you have been defrauded, please contact your local police and report the matter to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre at 1-888-495-8501.
